275,610. Tauber, C., (trading as Leuchte Nachf, G.). Aug. 3, 1926, [Convention date]. Paints; fillers. - Coating-compositions for porous material such as wood, stone, brick, plaster, &c,. comprise a soap of magnesium, such as the resinate, stearate, oleate, linoleate, &c. The magnesium soap may be dissolved in fatty oil (wood oil, linseed oil, &c.) or varnish, with or without heat, to produce a gelatinous mass. In the preferred manner, magnesium hydrate is stirred with fatty oil or varnish with or without heat, until the hydrate has combined with acids of the fatty oils &c. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) describes also compositions wherein the soap is ground with a small quantity of fatty oil or varnish, and further fatty oil varnish, solvent &c. is added. Pigments, driers, solvents, &c. may be added. Magnesium hydrate may be mixed with the pigments when they are ground with the fatty oil &c. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 20707/89 and 20805/09.
