Abstract

274,739. St. Dunstans, and Warren, N. Jan. 29, 1927. Light, treating diseases with.-A portable lighttreatment apparatus comprising a casing of inverted-U section is constructed of two wooden frames 5, 6 slidably connected to one another to permit the adjustment of the size of the casing to suit any part of the body to be treated. The slidable connection between the parts comprises pairs of slotted plates 8 guided on pins 10 and clamped in any position by screws 11. The frames 5, 6 are covered by metal reflectors and are fitted with a two-part handle 18 and with lamps 19 grouped in threes, each group being connected through a switch 15 with a plug 16. A flexible connection 17 is provided between the parts. Struts 12 hinged to the base of the casing and secured thereto bv clips 13 are adapted to be turned down to elevate the casing 'when used to treat the trunk of the body.
