Abstract
274,456. Hermand, L. July 19, 1926, [Convention date]. Push-button switches.-Relates to switches for controlling lamps in motor vehicle signalling apparatus. The switch on the clutch pedal comprises a plate 9, Figs. 5 and 6, which is normally pressed upwards to break contact by springs 13<a> surrounding studs 13. The plate is carried by a cross pin 10 so that it may be either rocked or depressed. When it is rocked, one of a pair of contact blades 14 engages a contact 15 to light a " turning '' signal lamp, and simultaneous depression of the plate is prevented by a lug 9<b> engaging a curved seat 12. When it is depressed upon the clutch being actuated, the lug 9<b> enters a hole 12a and a contact ring on the pin 10 engages a contact blade 11 in the circuit of the " stop " lamp. The switch on the accelerator pedal comprises a button 6, Fig. 3, which is pressed upwards by a spring 7 to close contacts 4, 5<a> in the 'stop " lamp circuit when the accelerator is released.
