Rolling - machines; coating apparatus with powdered materials; stream cutting machines. - Portions of dough are kneaded in apertures 6 in a hollow cylinder by fingers 13 on an internal cylinder 11 which is given a rotary reciprocating movement by a shaft 20 and eccentric 18 driven by the bevels 15, 14 from the main shaft 9, Fig. 3. The cylinder 5 is driven by gearing 29, 30, shaft 31, gearing 32, 33 and keyed shaft 10 and receives the dough from the cutter 4. Flour from a container 44 is blown into the aperture 6 by airdraft through the pipe 43 from a blower on the motor shaft. The belt 24 passing over a tension adjusting pulley 22 conveys the dough to the baking tin 42. The insertion of a baking tin beneath the roller 60 effects the tensioning of the driving belt by means of a roller 63 in a second arm of a pivoted bell-crank lever 61 carrying the pulley 60, Fig. 8. The tins are adjustably fed forward by gearing 54, 55, ratchet 56 lever and link 57, 58 and cam 59. The apertures in the cylinder 5 may be oval and a corresponding oval path given to the kneading fiingers by an eccentric on the shaft 9 which produces a slight rotational oscillation of the inner cylinder by means of a fork rigid with the cylinder and embracing the eccentric. The throw of the eccentric may be varied by forming it as one eccentric adjustable circumferentially on a second. The machine is mounted on ground rollers 45.
