Abstract
274,147. French, G. F., French, R., and Pinch, W. H. Feb. 12, 1926. Curtains, suspending; clip brackets.-Brackets for rails of T, H or like section, are made from a single piece of metal with a hole or holes for an attachment screw, and fixed jaws to engage slidably with the rail flanges. In the form shown in Figs. 1, 2 an L-shaped metal stamping has two jaws b<2> formed by bending over the outer ends of one limb and an inner jaw formed by stamping out a tongue b<1>. Or, as shown in Fig. 8 a single outer jaw r<1> and inner jaw r<2> may be so arranged as to enable the rail to be inserted between from the side. As shown in Fig. 5, the bracket may be of T-shape with two screw-holes and a stay-member k the end of which may form the inner jaw j<1>; and a screw k<1> may be provided to grip the rail. The bracket may be formed of cast or extruded metal, as in the forms shown in Figs. 10, 17; and may be fixed by means of a single long screw, as shown in Fig. 12. The bracket may be provided with two pairs of jaws to receive two rails, at the same level, as shown in Fig. 16, or at different levels. Specifications 254,766, 257,545, and 258,007 are referred to. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 227,229 and 227,584.
