Abstract

273,575. Peters, M. Dec. 10, 1926. Drawings to Specification. Rolling.-The rolls of pilger-mills are forged from ingots cast from a steel alloy containing 1.5 to 2.2 per cent of chromium, 1 to 1.65 per cent of tungsten and 1 to 1.65 per cent of nickel. The alloy may contain in addition 0.4 to 2 per cent of manganese and 0.015 to 0.2 per cent of silicon, the carbon content being 0.6 to 0.8 per cent. The phosphorous and sulphur are below 0.03 per cent. Specifications 4644/91. 27754/97, 27755/97, and 15498/07, [all in Class 82, Metals and alloys], are referred to.
