Abstract
273,403. Young, E. M., and Young, Osmond, & Young, Ltd. April 1, 1926 Plug couplings; junction boxes. - An electric radiator that can be built up from standard tubing comprises a tube 10 enclosing a resistance element 12 and having a ring screwed on to one end to provide abutments 16 for a cap 13 and for the clamping-ring 19 that secures the cap. The cap covers an insulating block 20 carrying terminals 21 and having a gap at one side for an earthing terminal 24, the partition 22 being extended along the edge of the gap. The cap has branch connections 14 that may be fitted with plug couplings to engage corresponding contacts in the end caps of another heating member the other end of which may also be fitted with plug elements to connect with a further heater or the mains. A radiator is built up as shown in Fig. 6, the cover 13 forming an angle bend and being connected to short connecting tubes 50, 52 that may contain heating elements. The covers 13, 51 may be made integral. Specifications 210,646 and 274,931, [both in Class 37, Electricity, Measuring &c.], are referred to.
