In the construction shown in Fig 4 the parts o, r of a long-handled brush are connected by a bolt l and countersunk nut n, the head m of the bolt fitting in the bottom of a recess receiving the end k of the handle i. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 16507/97, [Class 19, Brushing &c.], 3756/09, and 12913/10.
