June 5, 1926, [Convention date]. Cleaning internally, non-rotary appliances for. - In a multiple tube cleaner, the individual cleaners are actuated solely by their own weight. The tubes 37 are cleaned by cleaners 31 with brush or plunger scraper heads 32 and are loosely supported in holes in a plate 26 movable vertically by the rotation of screws 27 through bevel wheels 24, 20, 17 actuated from a motor 15. The screws 27 are mounted in a frame 10 supported on a trolley 11 movable on rails by means of a motor 13 and a train of gear wheels. A crane 41 is provided for raising the cover 43 of the tube container 34 and the mechanisms are controlled from a handle 14, a switch 40 and two electromagnetic switches 38, 39, which cause the motion of plate 26 to be automatically reversed.
