Abstract

271,980. Perrett, F. E. March 24, 1926. Cleansing-compositions. - A cleaning and polishing composition for china, glass, silver, brass &c. comprises the following ingredients in substantially the proportions stated :-2 gallons of volatile liquid, e.g. methylated spirits, 4 lbs. of polishing powder such as whiting, and 8 fluid ounces of a strong alkaline solution such as one made by dissolving ¢ lb. of lump ammonia (normal ammonium carbonate) in 8 fluid ounces of water. Spirits of camphor, in the proportion of about 2 fluid ounces, may be added. The composition may be added to water for washing china, glass &c. or used for removing stains from the fingers.
