Boxes of skeleton formation combined with feeding and drinking appliances for animals; corner strengthening pieces. - A poultry coop, particularly adapted for use in transport, comprises a wood floor 1, side rods 2, and a top 3 provided with a door 4. A rectangular sheet metal tank 5 is arranged along one side of the coop and its sides 8 are extended downwards to carry a drinking trough 13. Small diameter pipes 15 extending from the tank to near the bottom of the trough maintain and control a supply of water thereto. Metal rods 7 are substituted for the rods 2 at the corners of the coop and the end walls 8 of the tank are extended upwardly and turned outwardly over the top rails 10 of the coop. Caps 11 cover the outwardly bent exterior of the walls 8 and are bent over the outer side of the rails 10. A feed box 16 formed from a single blank of stout paper or cardboard is arranged at the opposite side of the coop. Openings 23 are formed in the front member 19 to permit the fowls to reach the feed, such openings being gradually widened by being torn in use enabling the feed at the rear of the box to be reached. The feed box is filled through its open top, the front wall 19 then being pulled back by cords 24 to take up the position shown by dotted lines in Fig. 5.
