Kettles; strainers; lids.-A kettle is provided -with an infuser, consisting of a perforated cylindrical body 26 and a disc bottom 28, held in place within the mouth opening by means of a rolled upper edge 27. The kettle lid 31 is made a tight push-in fit into the infuser so that when the lid is lifted the infuser is removed. In a modified construction the infuser is hinged to the lid and has a releasable catch to enable it to be clamped thereto, and the lid may have an external flange and lip of usual construction which engage directly with the filler opening of the kettle.
