Abstract
270,454. Bamford, J., and Bamford, C. J. March 11, 1926. Reaping and mowing machines.-An additional track-board 1 is pivoted by a spring bolt 4 to a vertical bracket 2 secured to the main shoe 10. The bracket is held by a bolt 8 to the vertical face of the shoe and is formed with a lip 11 on its upper side which fits over the top of the shoe or the cutter bar and with a vertical shoulder 12 to engage the rear face thereof to prevent movement of the bracket. A projection 7 at the rear end of the bracket that extends below the trackboard restricts its downward movement. The bracket is preferably bent intermediate its ends so as to incline the track-board with respect to the direction of travel of the machine. An operating handle 13 is secured to the board.
