Abstract

Television; light-sensitive electric devices.-In a television transmitting arrangement employing a light-sensitive cell with means for interrupting the light incident thereon at a frequency such that the duration of the individual signals is not substantially greater than the time lag of the cell, the effects of the cell's inertia are minimized by utilizing for the transmission a current which is the first differential of the output current from the cell. For this purpose. the output current, with or without preliminary amplification, may be supplied to the primary transformer, and the transmission current be taken from the secondary. Alernatively the transmission current may be that obtained by addition of the first differential current to the output current. For this purpose a series resistance in the circuit of the cell may be shunted by a condenser in series with the transmission operating device, or this device may be arranged in parallel with a series inductance in the circuit of the cell, or the device may be arranged in series with the cell and with a high resistance wound inductively with or without an adjustable iron core.
