Abstract

269,875. Landis et Gyr Soc. Anon. April 20, 1926, [Convention date]. Motor meters. - Additional driving- power is provided in order to compensate for friction in the counting-train. An induction motor meter is shown in which the shaft 8 of the counting-train is driven from the shaft 5 of the meter by a worm 6 and wormwheel 7. An additional torque is provided by means of a conducting disc 11 mounted on the shaft 8 and driven by auxiliary magnetic members 9, 10 providing a magnetic shunt circuit to the pressure magnet 1 and having poles on opposite sides of the disc 11. The member 9 has two poles, on one of which is positioned a copper collar 12. The additional power so obtained may be sufficient to drive the counting-mechanism, the usual driving-gear serving merely as a control, or the additional power may be insufficient to drive the train and serve as an auxiliary. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) states also that the additional power may be obtained in other ways, for example by the clockwork of a recording meter. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
