Road-traffic signals on vehicles.-A portable lamp by means of which a vehicle driver can signal his intentions to turn &c. comprises a container 1 having a cut-out arrow 8 in one face and a switch 7 to control a lamp 5 mounted inside the container. An aperture 10 may be provided in the face opposite the arrow to serve as a spot light, and a sliding or hinged door 9 in this face enables the device to be used as an inspection lamp. Leads 6 connect the device to a source of current. A handle may be provided, and a clip may be used to attach the device to the steering-column &c.
