Key holders have the support for the snaphooks &c. h made in two parts 15, 16 (shown separated in Figs. 1, 2) adapted to slide together, the edges of the back part 15 embracing the edges of the front part 16 which has slots 24 through which the necks j of the hooks h pass, and has a U-section so as to enclose the heads i of the hooks. The ends 41 of the section are preferably closed up to rounded form. The slots 24 extend out to one edge, preferably the upper, of member 16 to allow insertion and removal of the hooks at will by sliding member 16 out of member 15 to expose the end of the required slot. The parts 15, 16 may be held together by friction, to increase which member 16 may be initially bowed longitudinally, or a spring may be provided. The back member 15 may be secured directly to the usual flexible case by rivets 20, or to a separate tab 45, Fig. 12 which is stitched to the case A and forms a flap covering a pocket. In a modified form, Figs. 8<a>, 9, the slots 24 do not extend to the edge of member 16, but end in enlarged openings 30 through which the heads i of the hooks h can be passed. The corresponding edge 29 of the back member is scalloped so that in one position all the openings 30 are covered, but are all uncovered by sliding the front member an amount equal to half the distance between adjacent slots, the movements being preferably limited by stops.
