Abstract

268,887. Trump, E. H. Jan. 9, 1926. Transformers; converting pulsating currents into steady continuous currents. - Comprises apparatus for eliminating ripple from the supplyof current to thermionic valves. In a transformer for coupling the plate and grid circuit, a coil 3 is wound on a horse-shoe core 8, Fig. 2, and a coil 6 is provided on a straight core 9 which can be screwed at 11 into selected holes 10. The coupling is provided by the leakage fields of the coils, and its magnitude can be regulated by making a proper choice of the holes 10. The mains are bridged by smoothing chokes 15 in series with condensers 16, the coupling resistances 12a being connected to the common. points of the impedances 15, 16.
