Abstract
267,605. Taylor, W. Dec. 17, 1925. Valve - discharge water - waste preventers; combined with closet basins; overflow fittings; closet basins. - In water closets such as are described ir Specification 201,628 the flushing passage L, Fig. 5, leading from the tank F, Fig. 1, to the port M in the basin has the wall of its end portion so shaped that the entering water is directed sufficiently to one side of the basin centre to produce a whirling action of limited velocity. The flushing valve 0 seats on a member P secured by bolts R, and has a stem O<1> with a head O<2> adapted to be engaged bv a lever V<2> to lift the valve. The tank has an overflow N, and is supplied by the means described in Specification 267,604, part of the supply passing to the basin rim G, and baffle plates J, Fig. 4, being provided to ensure equal distribution to the jets H.
