Abstract

267,573. Taylor, E. July 8, 1926. Direct air pressure apparatus, non-automatic.- A machine for spraying whitewash, paint, &c. on surfaces or for spraying roads with tar or bitumen, comprises two compartments 2, 3, the compartment 3 being adapted to be charged with compressed air and the other with liquid to be sprayed. A conduit 6, provided with a valve 8, establishes communication between the compaxtments, the compressed air compartment being also provided with a valved passage 9 for admitting compressed air. When it is desired to charge the compressed air compartment the valve 8 is closed and the valve 9 opened. Liquid to be sprayed is discharged through the outlet 19. The compartment 2 has a charging-opening provided with a conical funnel 11 containing a detachable filter 16 and closed by a partlyspherical hard rubber stopper 14 mounted on a bolt provided with a wing nut 15 by which it is held on its seat. The apparatus may be mounted on a wheel base 25 and provided with a stirrer 20.
