Abstract
267,518. Kyber, W. March 10, 1926, [Convention date]. Portland cement.-In the reduction of phosphates in a shaft or electric furnace in the presence of iron ore or scrap iron, a flux composed of alumina, lime and/or silica is added whereby a fused cement as well as iron phosphide is obtained. When the starting material is an aluminium phosphate, the alumina need not be added to the charge.
