Abstract
267,072. Soc. Anon. de St. Leonard (Outils) Liege. March 3, 1926, [Convention date.]. Axle - trucks and bogies. -In a locomotive of the kind in which the main frame 1, Fig. I, is articulated to two driving bogies 2, 3 by joints 4 which permit relative angular movements about vertical and horizontal axes, the joint comprises two members 5, 7, the latter being articulated to its bogie so as to rotate about a vertical axis, and both members are formed with coacting cylindrical surfaces 9 which permit relative movement about an horizontal axis, lateral movement being prevented by the side walls of the cylindrical joint. Figs. III and V show vertical sections of the joint in longitudinal and transverse planes respectively.
