Abstract

266,683. Amundsen, I. Feb. 27, 1926, [Convention date]. Refrigerating, vacuum processes for.-Activated carbon is used as an adsorbent in combination with alcohol, preferably methyl or ethyl alcohol, as refrigerant in processes wherein refrigerant vapour is alternately adsorbed at low pressure by an adsorbent and expelled therefrom. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also the use of silica gel and bleaching earth as adsorbents. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
