Abstract

265,804. McCully, N. A. March 19, 1926. Landing places comprise a number of diverging cables 10 arranged in a plane which slopes upward from the narrow end. The cables are engaged by hooks 32, 34 at the forward end of the aeroplane and by a similar pair at the tail end. The spreader 16 is mounted on a rigid support but the spreader 20 is allowed to swing or tilt. Stays 58, 60 going to the top of the mast 24 to which the ends of the cables are secured, are provided as a further support for the track.
