Locking nuts.-In a locknut of the kind in which a pawl h pivots in a V-slot d one edge of which is approximately tangential to the bore of the nut, a handle k<1> for actuating the pawl projects loosely through the slot g. The pawl has teeth of less depth than the bolt threads and its edge h<1> is preferably chamfered.
