Abstract

264,422. Lehmann, G. O., and Borsig Ges., A. Sept. 27, 1926. Fan apparatus. - An electric motor and fan combination for a hand vacuum cleaner has each guide disc 17 and the corresponding part 9 of the casing made in one piece from sheet metal and in the form of a cap which surrounds the corresponding rotor element 5. The several guide disc units may be secured in place by straps 15 connecting the outermost unit and the base 12 of the motor or each may be secured to the next and the innermost secured to the base 12. The air delivered by the pump passes in part through openings 20 and in part through the interior of the motor. The openings 20 may be dispensed with and the whole delivery passed through the motor.
