Sliver conductors and guides.-A machine for spinning cored yarn comprises a delivery shaft c, two co-operating pressing rollers d, g supplying the core a, and the covering material respectively, and an arched plate h for supporting and guiding the materials whilst being united, the roller g being recessed transversely at i to permit the covering material to slip. The plate h is supported on a spring l and is formed with a guiding edge p while the upper half of the end o of the trumpet n is spring-pressed against the core sliver.
