Abstract
264,318. Haddon, W. Jan. 15, 1926 Couplings.-In electric accumulators of the kind in which component batteries or sections may be readily connected in series for use or in parallel for charging, a number of formed connecting pieces d, Fig. 2, fit between the terminals b<1> of the sections to connect them in series and two formed bus-bars f, Fig. 4, are provided to connect the sections in parallel, one bus-bar fitting on to all the positive terminals of the sections and one on to all the negative terminals. Each section may comprise several cells permanently connected in series by connectors similar to the connectors d and of the kind described in Specification 252,844, one end of each end section being connected to a main terminal e. The pieces d and bus-bars f have holes to engage the terminals b<1>, e and are retained in position by the screw-caps of the terminals. The sections may be contained within a casing c with the terminals b', e located at the outside at one side and connected by leads to the cells.
