Printing-apparatus.-In duplicating apparatus, such as step-and-repeat contact printing-apparatus, of the kind wherein a frame 12 for holding a unit, such as a photographic negative (not shown) which is to be brought into intimate contact with a sensitive press-plate of zinc or aluminium resting on a support 11, is secured on the face of a press-member 10 for pressing the unit on to the press-plate, the frame 12 is resiliently suspended on the press-member 10 in order to accommodate small inequalities in the thickness of the unit or of the press-plate, or small differences in parallelism between the face of the press-member 10 and the support 11 of the pressplate. As shown a leaf spring 13 is secured to each corner of the rectangular press-member 10 by a bolt 15, and the frame 12 is secured by bolts 14 to the free ends of the springs.
