Abstract

Axial-flow type; casings.-In partial admission, multi-stage turbines with axial-flow, at least one of the nozzle diaphragms is divided along at least two different planes. Fig. 6 shows one diaphragm divided along two different planes 6-A, 6-B, and another diaphragm divided along two different planes 1-A, 1-B, the angle of offset for the respective nozzle groups L, L<1> being indicated by w. The construction provides for a large permissible value of w. Fig. 7 indicates an-arrangement of joints for six successive partitions. The points of intersection A, B of the joints with the edge of the central bore may be diametrically opposite and in the same plane as the casing joints. Two joints in a partition may be in parallel planes.
