Abstract

262,419. Guyot, R. J. L. Dec. 4, 1925, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. Wire terminals.- The terminal of a high tension lead by which it is connected to a sparking-plug is provided with an insulating sleeve that automatically surrounds the terminal upon disconnection. The end b of a lead a is attached to an eye terminal c that engages the plug terminal m, the hole of the eye being enlarged at one side to pass over the head l of the plug. A sleeve d of insulating material is screwed to the terminal c and carries a flange f that forms an abutment for a spring g tending to press upwardly an outer sleeve h. Movement is prevented by projections j on a cap i engaging the plug terminal m. Upon disconnection the spring moves the sleeve h into a position around the terminal c.
