Abstract
261,674. Cross, H. P. Aug. 13, 1925. Stands or supports.-Brackets 1 are made with slotted cross bars a, b, the former adaptel to support a jack 2 to receive the axle A of a vehicle, and the latter to carry a support 4. One end of a slotted beam 6 rests on the support 4. By turning the nuts 5 the beam is raised to bear against the frame of the vehicle and thus take the weight off the springs. The brackets may be detachably mounted on castors 9 by means of frames 10 and bogie half-frames 8. Slotted bars 12 may besecured to the tops of the brackets as shown in Fig. 13, the side bearing- brackets on the engine being bolted to them. The two halves of the bogie may be clipped together by pins 13 and latches 14 to form a complete bogie, Fig. 12, for use as a support for a damaged wheel.
