Magnetic separators.-In a magnetic separator in which a fixed magnet 1 is arranged inside a drum 2 provided with rings 3, a rotary stripping device 4, of magnetizable material, e.g. a wire roller or brush is provided so as to contact with the wire rings 3 and remove the magnetic material adhering thereto. The device 4 forms a magnetic bridge between the rings 3, and if there is a gap between the rings, the brush &c. projects into the said gap.
