Mincing. - A device for chopping or mincing food comprises a ring cutter 1 having an edge 4 and recesses 5 which receive portions 12 of straight knives 7, 8, and a locking-ring 13 attached bv bars 15 to a handle 16 and having inclined slots 4 which engage projections 6 on the knife 1 whereby the knives 1, 7, 8 and the ring 13 are secured rigidly together by a rotary motion of the ring. The knives 7, 8, which are radially disposed as shown in Fig. 1, are slotted in the middle to interlock with one another. The recesses 5 and projections 6 may be formed by pressing. One or both of the knives 7, 8 may be omitted or they may be arranged paralled to one another.
