Abstract

259,512. Perrin, E. A. June 18, 1926. Addition to 256,576. Checking shuttles and pickers.-In pickerchecking devices of the kind described in the parent Specification, the guide-piece 1, Fig. 4 for the buffer-strip is provided with ears 4<1>, which are bent to adapt it to be secured to shuttle-boxes of different types of looms. The guide-piece is made of resilient material to assist the checking action of the buffer-strap 7, Fig. 1. The strap 7 is secured to the strip 13 passed around the spindle h by a pin 12 as in the arrangement described in the parent Specification, the retaining-strap 15, which is passed around the spindle and the strap 13, being stronger and wider than that of the prior device. The end 17 of the retaining- strap after being passed through a slit in the other end of the strip is adjustably secured to the shuttle-box back by an S-shaped hook having an upper flattened portion 18<1>, Fig. 5, and a lower closed loop 18<2>. A spring-controlled check-strap n retained by a leather piece m is provided.
