Description

A HEATING AND COOKING APPARATUS
Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to a combined heating and cooking apparatus. In particular, the present invention relates to a combined heating and cooking outdoor apparatus.
Background
Conventionally, in an outdoor environment, barbeques and camping stoves are used to cook food and to warm up drinks. Fire pits are used to provide warmth when sat outside. Barbeques, camping stoves and fire pits have low fuel efficiency.
There is therefore a need for an apparatus which can be used in an outdoor environment to cook and/or to provide heat with improved fuel efficiency.
Prior Art

One side of the stove chamber is communicated with a material adding port. A stove door is connected at the material adding port. The lower part of the stove chamber is a stove bridge with primary air holes which are communicated with the external atmosphere. A plurality of secondary air distribution holes are arranged on the wall of the stove chamber.
US20150079250 discloses an apparatus for cooking or smoking. Combustion products produced by a combustor (for example by a gas burner) are delivered upwardly through an upwardly extending inner flow gap which at least partially surrounds a cooking or smoking chamber. The combustion products are then delivered downwardly through the cooking or smoking chamber and then upwardly through an upwardly extending outer flow gap which is outside of the inner flow gap and which also at least partially surrounds the cooking or smoking chamber.
CN202792108 discloses a wood coal stove which comprises a stove cavity arranged on support and a stove table arranged on the stove cavity. A stove opening is arranged at the center of the stove table. The stove is characterized in that the stove cavity is composed of an upper stove cavity and a lower stove cavity, a stove cover is arranged on the top face of the upper stove cavity, a fire collection opening is arranged at the center of the cavity cover, a smoke exhaust port is arranged on the stove wall between the cavity cover and the stove table, a stove grate is arranged at the bottom of the lower stove cavity, and an ash tank is arranged under the lower stove cavity.
The present invention arose in order to overcome problems suffered by existing devices.

It is however to be understood that each of the first oven, inner chamber 12 and outer chamber 14 may have any suitable shape and/or dimensions depending on the requirements for the apparatus 2.
The apparatus 2 further comprises a second oven 22 comprising a second inner chamber 24 configured to receive items to be heated, and a second outer chamber 26 substantially surrounding and spaced apart from the second inner chamber 24 to provide a second channel 28 extending therebetween. The second channel 28 comprises a channel inlet 30 configured to be in communication with the channel outlet 20 of the first oven 10, and a second channel outlet 32.
The first oven 10 is located above the outlet 8 of the stove 4. The second oven 22 is located above the first oven 10.
The apparatus 2 further comprises a chimney 34 configured to be in communication with the second channel outlet 32 of the second oven 22 to enable heat and/or hot air to pass therethrough.
The apparatus 2 further comprises a hot air passageway 36 comprising a first end 38 located at or adjacent one or more of: the second channel outlet 32 and/or chimney 34. The hot air passageway 36 comprises an opposed second end 40 in communication with a filter configured to remove particulates to enable clean hot air to pass therethrough to an external environment.
The apparatus 2 further comprises a valve or lever located at or adjacent the first end 38 of the hot air passageway 36. The valve or lever is moveable between a first closed position in which heat and/or hot air from the fuel source is passed through the chimney 34, and a second open position in which heat and/or hot air from the fuel source is passed through the hot air passageway 36 and through filter.
The hot air passageway 36 is an adjustable directional hot air passageway. The position of the opposed second end 40 of the passageway 36 may be adjusted relative to the first end 38 thereof.
Each of the first and second inner chambers 12, 24 of the first and second ovens 10, 22 further comprises a plurality of racks 46 for supporting items thereon. Each rack 46 is slideably mounted within the respective first and second inner chambers 12, 24.

The apparatus 2 further comprises a spillage tray 58 for receiving items of spilled food or liquid therein.
In use, fuel is burnt within the cavity 6 of the stove 4. Hot air rises out of outlet 8 of the stove 4 and the heat is spread evenly by heat spreader 9. The hot air rises through inlet 18 of the first channel 16 of the first oven 10, thereby heating the inner chamber to a temperature suitable for cooking food. Hot air passes through the first channel and out of outlet 20 into the inlet 30 of the second channel 28 of the second oven 22. The heat raises the temperature within the second inner chamber 24 of the second oven to a temperature suitable for keeping food warm or for drying items. Hot air exits outlet 32 of the second oven 22 and passes into the chimney 34 or the hot air passageway 36 and out of filter to produce heat for the external environment.
The invention has been described by way of examples only and it will be appreciated that variation may be made to the above-mentioned embodiments without departing from the scope of invention as defined by the claims, in particular but not solely 5 combination of features of described embodiments.
