Abstract

A domed cage 1 has spaced metal bars and is attached to the bird table by means of a bottom liftable section. The domed cage has a side door opening 34. The bottom liftable section comprises a flat metal plate 2 which slots into a groove in the base of the bird table 9. A vertical rim 12 encircles the dome cage to prevent water entering the feeding dish 5. The door is preferably biased to remain closed by means of two springs (15, fig 2). A locking device has a circular metal bar (10, fig 12) that attaches to the underside of the bird table roof (18, fig 12) and exerts downward pressure on the top of the domed cage.
