Piston pumps convertible into motors.-A device by which motor car tyres can be inflated from one of the engine cylinders comprises a body A which can be screwed into a plug hole in the cylinder and is fitted with a transverse cylindrical chamber carrying a rotatable sleeve B fitted with inlet ball valves. The sleeve can be turned so that apertures in it allow communication between the cylinder and a tyre connection H, a ball valve G preventing back flow of air. A lateral branch M is provided, having a hole to receive a sparking- plug.
