Abstract

256,841. O'Cedar, Ltd., and Barton, J. W. Dec. 7, 1925. Pivoted handles with lug and flange attachments.-A mop comprising mopping material 3 secured to the flanged edge of a metal plate 1 is provided with a handle socket 8 pivotally held down directly upon the upper face of the plate 1 by a clamping plate 6. Pressed-up portions of the plate form housings 10 for trunnions shaped from the socket 8. The plate 1 is formed with a depression 12 with which, and with the plate 6, the lower end of the socket 8 cooperates, so that the socket may be caused to remain in one or other of two definite angular positions with respect to the mop head.
