Abstract

256,048. Burrell, E. C. R. July 29, 1925. Omamenting.-A cotton or other fabric a for covering a lampshade is coated first with a translucent varnish b or other adhesive which is flexible when dry, and then with powdered or fine particles c of glass or other crystalline substance. The fabric is not opaque, and it may be treated with oil or other substance to increase its translucency. The fabric may be white or coloured and may have a design painted, printed, or otherwise provided thereon, or it may be a figured material. The powdered glass may be of a single or several colours and it may be sprinkled on the varnished fabric, or the varnished fabric may be laid on a. surface covered with the powdered glass.
