Abstract
255,749. Engstrom, A. E. T., and Petersen, I. J., C. Feb. 12, 1926. Road-traffic signals on vehicles.-A directionindicator for use on road vehicles comprises a signal arm b and a handle i fitted to a member a which is arranged to swivel on a split tube g adapted to be fitted over the upper edge of a side window pane of the vehicle. The part a has positioning grooves k at right angles and swivels on a pin d rivetted to the tube at f, a spring h being interposed. Guide straps b are provided. The arm b is screwed into a hole in the part a and locked by a stud screwed into a similar hole at right angles, so that by changing the arm and stud, the device may be adapted for use on either side of the vehicle. The gap remaining at the top of the pane when the window is closed as far as it will may be closed by a strip of rubber or other material.
