Abstract
255,724. Hatch, F. G. Jan. 6, 1926. Volatile liquids, recovering.-Apparatus for removing volatile solvents from a drying medium Comprises a partitioned U-shaped casing having a heat interchanger and a cooler, each consisting of two vertical groups of interconnected tubes a<1>, a<2>, b<1>, b<2> respectively, and steam-heated tubes d<1>, the medium being circulated over the tubes by a fan e. The cooling- medium is cooled by refrigerator coils c, and fans k are provided for assisting the circulation of the interchanger and cooler media. The condensate formed in the casing is collected in the trough g and forms a liquid seal between the casing and the air.
