Closure members, simple lift. - A lift valve member particularly applicable for use in dry gas meters comprises two pieces of gas tight material sewn over a short cylinder and tensioned by means of a spring ring. In the form shown in the Fig. the cylinder 3 is externally grooved to receive the spring ring 5. In a modification the cylinder is split and the spring ring engages an internal groove.
