Headers and water chambers particularly for high-pressure boilers consist of a seamless drumshaped container the convex ends of which are seamlessly formed by forging in a press. Flat surfaces are pressed in the container for receiving tubes and portions of the original round cross section remain between the flat surfaces. In the surface of a tube a, closed by a hemispherical or flattened convex end e, are pressed flat areas b provided with one or more holes d' in which a tube is to be beaded.
