254,531. Courtaulds, Ltd., and Whittaker, C. M. July 27, 1925. Yarns, separating or sorting.-For the purpose of obtaining batches of viscose silk having practically the same dyeing affinity so that fabrics made therefrom can be dyed the same shade, a quantity of the silk in portions or skeins is dyed with an easily removable dye, preferably one that tends to dye unevenly, and the dyed silk is sorted into batches each consisting of those skeins which are dyed to the same shade. The dyeing-agent is subsequently removed.
