Abstract

253,809. Reich, E. Dec. 8, 1925. Holders. - In holders that are made of one piece of insulating material in which holes are formed for the reception of the metal contacts, these holes and contacts are made of conical shape so that the contacts are secured in place by the weight of the holder and lamp. In the construction shown in Fig. 7, for use with screw-cap bulbs, the centre contact is made conical while the outer contact comprises a metal strip 14 conforming to the screw-threads, and formed as a hook at the bottom to engage in a recess in the body of the holder. The construction shown in Fig. 14 is for use with bayonet-cap bulbs. A shade-holder may be formed integral with the lamp-holder, or a shade may rest on the flared lower end of the holder.
