Abstract

252,319. Soc. Anon. le Salvoxyl, (Assignees of Tabarly, G. A.). May 23, 1925, [Convention date]. Inhalations. - Oxygen is generated in a continuous manner by adding to an excess of hydrogen peroxide solution slightly acidulated, an anhydrous oxide of an alkali or alkali earth metal, or a mixture of such oxides. The oxides are preferably employed in the form of blocks so as to control the generation of gas, and with them may be mixed substances such as essence of eucalyptus, tolu, &c. which evolve gases, vapours or emanations of therapeutic value; these added substances may serve as binding-agents. Alternatively, these substances may be added to the hydrogen peroxide solution. The apparatus used may be that described in Specification 252,318, [Class 81 (ii), Medical &c. appliances].
