Abstract

252,312. Rodeck, C. G. May 22, 1925, [Convention date]. Anchoring.-For mooring an airship, the airship is attached to a captive balloon. Fig. 1 shows an airship connected by a hook h to a shackle d secured to the attachment point of the mooring cable c of a captive balloon a. The hook h is connected by radiating cords p<1> to a net p surrounding the gas bags of the airship. The lower part of the airship may be formed as or provided with a wind sack. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also a device in which a tower w, Fig. 4, (Cancelled), has an upper part w<1> capable of tilting under elastic control about a horizontal pivot m upon a rotatable platform r. A spring h is included in the mooring cable- Alternatively a mooring cable may be connected to the. airship directly by a system of cables similar to that of a captive balloon. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
