Abstract

251,807. Knapen, A. July 14, 1925. Drying buildings.-Walls of buildings are kept dry by the use of evaporation channels, as described in Specifications 5222/08 and 21722/08, the inclinations of the channels varying inversely as their lengths in the thickness of the wall so that a layer of air entering the channel at its upper bounding edge b may reach the bottom of the inner edge i of the channel with a predete:rmined material thickness. To further increase the efficiency, the channel is provided with condensation projections u at its upper surface and the channel may be formed in a triangular sectioned brick s.
