Abstract
251,797. Heath, A. R. N., and Corber, F. H. June 22, 1925. Motor cars, wagons, and the like.-The engine is placed with its shaft A across the chassis and coupled by helical gearing A<1>, D, with a central longitudinal shaft D<1>, the whole device forming a single unit. The driven shaft is supported by the crank case or an extension thereof. The engine may be placed centrally with a worm at the centre of the crank shaft, or at one side in which case there may be a coaxial shaft and clutch for supplying power to a pump &c.
